UTP Color Codes

At the end of last semester, I felt lucky to attend the CIPA program. Conclusion, learning practical is easier than learning theory because it is easy to see what was going on. Maybe also it depend on who is your lecturer..hiks

Since Nur Lyana has wrote about UTP cable (T568B), I continued about that and I share about UTP Color Codes.

Pair 1 ---> blue

Pair 2 ---> orange

Pair 3 ---> Green

Pair 4 ---> Brown

As you can see in the pair above, pairs 2 & 3 are used for normal 10/100Mbit networks, while pairs 1 & 4 are reserved which can be used for a second Ethernet line or for phone connections. In Gigabit Ethernet, all 4 pairs are used.

orange for transmit data, green for receive data
blue and brown for reserve a second Ethernet line or for phone connection

So if your UTP cable success, you will get like this.. ;)

Thank you for reading ;)
